A major exhibition of new and recent works by one of the most renowned figurative artists, Peter Doig, will be on display at The Courtauld Gallery this February.
The exhibition will feature paintings and several of Doig’s works including printmaking and will be the first exhibition by a contemporary artist to take place at The Courtauld since November 2021.
Doig’s first major solo exhibition was held at Tate Britain in 2008, shortly followed by No Foreign Lands, an exhibition which took place in the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh in 2013.
Many of Doig’s paintings are landscapes, some featuring snowy scenes of his childhood in Canada. Doig draws inspiration from his everyday life and from his vast travelling around the world.
Located at Somerset House, one of the greatest art collections in the world, Doig’s exhibition at The Courtauld Gallery runs from 10th February to 29th May 2023. But for aesthete’s travelling through Farnborough, the Airport continues its partnership with Heni Editions to display a select number of historical yet iconic pieces including Doig’s Couloir 1, Holy Mountain and Lost, expanding the existing historical art already on display from other world-renowned artists such as Damien Hirst, adding interest and intrigue to the passenger experience.
